PS is Project System. I usually look at it from 2 views. (1) it is simliar but more sophisticated if compared to Microsoft Project. The goal is to manage projects. Anything you need to manage a project is in PS module, resources, WBS, milestone, network, status management, etc; (2) like any other SAP module, it is fully integrated. For example, besides project management function, the project costs can be tracked along and later be settled to defined receivers. It is also easily linked to HR module. When a resource is working on a project, he/she can record time.

PS做为项目管理模块，其处理的主要对象是WBS，但其数据来源和业务支持全部来源于各业务模块，其管理的结果最终将返回各业务模块，PS是一个集大成的应用模块。
如果对五大模块不了解的话，是无法理解PS模块的。
