IDES stands for “Internet Demo and Evaluation System”. Besides the IDES-R/3 component - containing the well known model company with data in client 800 SAP offers a IDES mySAP.com landscape including R/3 4.6C, Workplace 2.11, CRM/EBP 3.00, APO 3.0A, BW 3.0A, SEM 3.1A (see OSS-note 519697 for details). The IDES R/3 documentation is available on the standard documentation CD, chapter IDES. The documentation with cross component business scenarios is available on DVD, sub-directory IDES_DOCU. The README.TXT file contains the information how to use it. In General check the SAP Service Marketplace: http://service.sap.com and Quick-Link IDES , section ‘Info Center’ and ‘Installation Guides IDES’ for additional or updated documents
