Consultant Profile mySAP Financials Managerial & Financial Accounting

Basic Training
Courses TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I), TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) and TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) provide basic training in the functionality of financial accounting (external accounting) and managerial accounting (internal accounting/controlling).

Course TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) contains a case study in which you can apply what you have learned and set up a fictitious integrated company on the basis of defined business processes. The course ends with a certified Solution Consultant exam for mySAP Financials Managerial & Financial Accounting 2002.

Note:
TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I), TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) and TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) provide basic training in Managerial & Financial Accounting (FI and CO). From the course descriptions, you can see that course TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I) focuses on FI, while TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) focuses on CO. We are planning to build on these basic training courses by providing further training in separate courses for CO and FI. We will provide further information and dates in the next newsletter.

The reason for combining CO and FI basic training is that both SAP consulting and SAP partners are moving away from a module-based position to becoming more solution type and consultant type-based. Within SAP consulting, a number of consultant profiles have been defined for each mySAP.com solution. mySAP Financials has the consultant profiles Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM), Managerial & Financial Accounting and Corporate Services. SAP consultants are now geared to each of these consultant profiles. Discussions with external consultancies have made it clear to SAP that financial consultants need basic knowledge in both FI and CO, but then have to acquire a deeper knowledge of one of these two areas. For this reason, we offer consultants combined FI/CO basic training, followed by further training in courses that deal with FI and CO separately.

Note on previous courses
Courses TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I), TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) and TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) replace the following SAP R/3 FI Module basic training courses that were offered until the first half of 2002: TAFI40 (Financial Accounting (SAP R/3 4.6)) (known in Switzerland as TAFI10 (Financials - Foundations (SAP R/3 4.6)), TAFI20 (Financial Accounting - Extended (SAP R/3 4.6)) and TAFI30 (Financials Accounting - Competence (SAP R/3 4.6)) as well as the following SAP R/3 CO Module basic training courses that were offered until the first half of 2002: TACO40 (Controlling (SAP R/3 4.6)) (known in Switzerland as TACO10 (Controlling - Foundation (SAP R/3 4.6)), TACO20 (Controlling - Extended (SAP R/3 4.6)) and TACO30 (Controlling - Competence (SAP R/3 4.6)).

Note on certification
The content of courses TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I), TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) and TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) forms part of the certification test that is offered at the end of course TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)). The knowledge of all of these three courses is a binding condition for successful parti***tion in the later course and for taking the test. This division into three different courses serves to provide greater flexibility for course particpants to attend the courses.

Alternative customer courses
The course material for Solution Academy courses is taken to a large extent from customer courses, although special topics that are of interest for SAP consultants have been added. The table below shows which topics have been taken from customer courses and which topics are dealt with separately in Solution Academy courses:

Advanced Training

TFIN30 (Managerial Accounting IV) and TFIN32 (Managerial Accounting V) are advanced courses that discuss the functionality of Managerial Accounting in detail.

TFIN32 (Managerial Accounting V) provides a review session on the morning of the last day that gives parti***nts the opportunity to clear up any remaining questions. The course ends with a test for certification as Solution Consultant mySAP Financials - Managerial Accounting 2002.

Note

The prerequisite for TFIN30 (Managerial Accounting IV) and TFIN32 (Managerial Accounting V) is completion of the introductory courses TFIN10 (Managerial & Financial Accounting I) and TFIN12 (Managerial & Financial Accounting II) or equivalent knowledge from customer courses.

Note on Certification

The prerequisite for certification of advanced training is certification of basic training TFIN14 (Managerial & Financial Accounting III (Case Study)) for application consultant mySAP Financials - Managerial & Financial Accounting 2002.

The contents of the courses TFIN30 (Managerial Accounting IV) and TFIN32 (Managerial Accounting V) are part of the certification test offered at the end of TFIN32 (Managerial Accounting V). Successful completion of the certification test requires knowledge of the material of both courses, which conceptually form a unit. The material is divided into two courses only to enable more flexible scheduling.

Alternative Customer Courses

The material for the Solution Academy courses comes mostly from customer courses, but also includes topics of interest to SAP consultants. The following table indicates the customer courses on which the Solution Academy courses are based, and what topics are included:
